Nov. 5th – Wild Ones honeysuckle removal at Forest Park

Join St. Louis Wild Ones at the 13th annual honeysuckle removal project in Forest Park, Saturday, November 5th from 9AM to noon.

Forest Park Forever sponsors this project, typically with over 100 volunteers. They’ve made tremendous strides in removing large blocks of honeysuckle throughout Forest Park. In fact, there aren’t many remaining areas in the park left that lend themselves to large group projects like this. Join the fun while you still can!

Wild Ones participants will get a free Wild Ones hat to help us stand out from the crowd. We’re hoping people will ask “What is Wild Ones?” so we can tell them about planting native species, which is the logical next step after removing non-native plants. Forest Park Forever does this, and it’s fitting that we will help set the stage for a return to a more natural ecosystem.

And as an added bonus, you’ll be entered in a drawing for a $25 gift certificate to a native plant nursery or bookstore next year!

If you’d like to join us, please RSVP to Brian Hall: brian@brianehall.com or 314-762-0423.
