Forest Park Kennedy woods

I went to the Forest Park Kennedy Woods to watch the recovery of the woods. Since the invasive Honey Suckle Bush has been removed there is sunlight getting down to the forest floor. Two weeks ago Fran Glass and I explored the forest, today I went with Larry.

We saw Trillium, Toothwort, Wild Geranium, Dwarf Crested Iris, Squaw Weed (senecio), Bluebells, Mayapples, Jewel Weed, Golden Seal, Trout lillies, Pussytoes, Solomom Seal, Green Dragon.

It is exciting to see this woodland so close to home.
