Now that winter is here, dreaming and planning of a new garden or garden spot and updating an existing garden can help sustain us throughout the various seasonal weather of cold, darkness, gray skies, ice, and snow. We have 82 days until the official start of spring, although I know some of you will be outside long before that.

In order to spark inspiration, we have a new menu item, “St. Louis Native Plant Garden Tours” under our website’s photo tab. For the last two years, generous St. Louis homeowners have opened their gardens to share their spaces and demonstrate a variety of ways to use native plants for landscaping. In 2016, 280 people registered to tour the gardens.

If you attended one or both of the Tours or if you are one of the homeowners and want to share some of your photos from one or both of the events by having them published on our website, please follow these guidelines:

  • State the year of tour
  • List the homeowner’s name
  • Identify any people in the photo
  • Photo size should be 1024 pixels wide (or high if a vertical photo) – if you don’t know how to change the size, just send the photo as is and we will adjust it
  • Email your photo(s) along with the above information to stlwildones@stlwildones.org

For your convenience, below is the gallery of the 2016 St. Louis Native Plant Garden Tour photos that we have currently. Enjoy!
