Nurturing Backyard Habitat with Nancy Lawson, the Humane Gardener
Mingle with native plant professionals and hear Nancy speak. A frequent speaker on garden ecology, she founded Humane Gardener, an outreach initiative dedicated to animal-friendly landscaping methods. Lawson’s book, The Humane Gardener, and wildlife habitat have been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Oprah Magazine.

Native by Design: Layered Landscaping
Grow Native! presents this workshop, providing information to home gardeners; landowners; landscape, landcare, and wildlife professionals; stormwater engineers; and other related professionals.
The opening keynote presenter is Thomas Rainer, a landscape architect, teacher, and co-author, with Claudia West, of Planting in a Post-Wild World. The closing keynote presenter is Doug Peterson, a soil health scientist with the Natural Resource Conservation Service. Other presenters include Chris Carl, Susan Helm, Scott Moss, and Gabe Presley.

2019 Partners for Native Landscaping Workshop
This year’s workshop features a Friday night reception, book signing and presentation by the keynote speaker, Larry Weaner, author of Garden Revolution.
On Saturday, Mr. Weaner will speak on a different topic, followed by four breakout sessions with four choices during each time period. There will be plenty for beginners and experienced native plant gardeners, alike.
