Invasive species

Why, when Wild Ones is a proponent of *native* plants, do we have an *invasive* species page?   

An invasive species is a plant or animal that is not native to a specific location (an introduced species); that has a tendency to spread, which is believed to cause damage to the environment, human economy and/or human health.

Invasive plants displace native plants, so in order to create good native plant habitat, the invasive plants have to go! 

One of the more common invasive species in the St. Louis area is bush honeysuckle. Here’s a video on how to identify and remove it:
