We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2022 Landscape Challenge sponsored by Wild Ones St. Louis and Grow Native! The winning yard is owned by Diana Linsley in Crestwood. Diana has been a member of Wild Ones St. Louis for about 4 years. She is a retired staff photographer from the Webster-Kirkwood Times and has been spending her time renovating her mid-century home as well as removing invasives and planting natives on her 1/3 acre.
Diana is still an avid photographer and won the People’s Choice Award in the 2021 Wild Ones photo contest with a photo of a Pipevine Swallowtail on Cardinal Flower. She also has photos of natives being featured in local exhibitions. She currently works as a Visitor Service Representative for Forest Park Forever and as a freelance photographer specializing in real estate photography.
The designer for the garden will be Erin Goss, a Wild Ones St. Louis member and employee of Wallflower Design. Estimated planting date will be sometime in April so watch for the call for volunteers to help plant.
Congratulations Diana!
Did you notice out her photo on the COVER of the latest issue of the National Journal? Way to represent our chapter!
Diane, I look forward to planting your front yard!
Thank you for this awesome opportunity! Many of my neighbors have already stopped by to see what is happening. They are anxious to see the results.
Congratulations Diana! I look forward to watching the process in the neighborhood!!!
Way to go, Diana! Your creativity is showing up in so many ways. And people are noticing!
