April 11, 2025 at 9:30 am.  If necessary, cancellations will be notified via email by 8:00 am on April 11th.   If you need to cancel your spot, please notify us as soon as possible so we can open the spot up to someone else.

Alan Hopefl has been volunteering at Emmeneger Park for over10 years and was honored for his work to eradicate bush honeysuckle and other invasives.  We are honored to have him join us and talk about the history of Emmeneger Park and its place on the National Registry of Historic Places relating to Edwin Lemp and the various plantings credited to Edgar Denison.

Wear sturdy hiking/walking shoes and bring water.  You may also want to bring sunscreen, hat, tick spray, camera, walking sticks, rain gear and snacks.

We'll meet at the kiosk near the trailhead.   Trail starts with a climb up a hill where we will go through woods and a small glade area before descending down into the bottomland before returning to the parking lot.

Restrooms available near the picnic shelter area in the middle of the parking areas.
