Wildflower Walk April 16, 2025 St. Francois State Park

Volunteer Coordinators: Brenda Adams and Laura Yates

DETAILS:

St. Francois State Park, Mooner's Hollow trailhead

April 16, 2025 at 10:00 am.  If necessary, cancellations will be notified via email by 8:00 am April 16th.  Check Spam if in doubt.

If you signed up but cannot make it, please notify us as soon as possible so we can offer that space to someone else.

Wear sturdy hiking/walking shoes and bring water.   You may also want to bring sunscreen, hat, tick spray, camera, walking stick, rain gear and snacks.

This trail is narrow and rocky and can be muddy if it has recently rained.  We'll follow it for less than a mile through the woods and continue on up to a small glade to see what's blooming on the glade.    Flowers we hope to see include bird's foot violet, Jack in the pulpit, golden alexander, Jacob's ladder, mayapple, wild sweet william, hepatica, rue anemone, 2 flower Cynthia, hoary puccoon, fire pink, lousewort, Indian paintbrush, and many more.

Restrooms available at the trailhead.
