Wildflower Walk April 24, 2025 Hawn State Park

Volunteer Coordinators: Brenda Adams and Renee Benage

DETAILS:

Wild Ones Wildflower Walk April 24, 2025.  Hawn State Park

Hawn State Park, trailhead near Pickle Creek Trail (there's a picnic shelter nearby and a pit toilet)
April 24, 2025 at 10:00 am.   If you want to carpool, meet at the commuter lot at the southwest corner of Gravois and I-270.  We will leave there at exactly 9am.
If necessary, cancellations will be notified via email by 8:00 am April 24th.  Check Spam if in doubt.

If you signed up but cannot make it, please notify us as soon as possible so we can offer that space to someone else.

Wear sturdy hiking/walking shoes and bring water.   You may also want to bring sunscreen, hat, tick spray, camera, walking stick, rain gear and snacks.

We will go part way down Pickle Creek Trail looking for something special. This trail is narrow and rocky and can be muddy if it has recently rained.   Hiking poles helpful. We'll follow it a short way to see what we see, then backtrack and go up the hill on the north loop of Whispering Pines trail to see azaleas and spring ephemerals.
Lunch stop at Midway Bar & Grill on the way home for those interested.
