Wear sturdy hiking/walking shoes and bring water.  You may also want to bring sunscreen, hat, tick spray, camera, walking stick, rain gear and snacks.

Englemann Woods is one of the few remaining old growth forests in Missouri and is located just outside of Labadie.  It is a moderate, approximate 2 mile loop trail with narrow paths.  This trip we will be looking for plants such as the four-leaved milkweed and green violet.  We will descend into the bottomland where we hope to see remaining spring ephemerals such as anemone, delphinium, water leaf, Miami mist and many more.  Then we will take the trail back up out of the valley and to our cars.

No restrooms available at this site.

Parking is limited so we will meet and carpool. Meeting location TBD.
