Formerly The Men’s Garden Club of Webster Groves, we are a diverse organization and welcome individuals who love to garden. We usually meet on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 pm at the Webster Groves Recreation Center. Here is our 2015 meeting schedule:
- Jan. 12 – Spring Garden Preparation by Jack Lane
- Feb. 9 – St. Louis Waterfalls by Caleb Bauer
- Mar. 9 – Spring Wildflowers of Missouri by Carol Gravens
- May 16, noon – Waterfalls & Aqua Phonics tour at Caleb Bauer’s (bring your own lunch)
- June 27, 9 AM – Tour of Earth Dance Farms in Ferguson by Suzanne Hart, followed by lunch at Ferguson Brewing
- July 13 – A Dark Side to Your Garden by Betsy Alexander
- Aug. 10 – Birds in the Garden by Connie Alwood
- Sep. 14 – Landscaping with Native Trees and Shrubs by Betty Struckhoff
- Oct. 12 – The Gourd Sisters by Ann Beninato & Lindy Hoffman
- Nov. 9 – Wildflowers Myths and Folktales by Marilyn Chryst
- Dec. 14 – Holiday dinner at CJ Muggs with Laurel Harvey
Our meetings are open to the public, and Wild Ones are welcome to join us.
In addition to meetings, we’re active in the community:
- Hosting an annual plant sale (Apr. 24-25, 2015 at the Webster Groves Recreation Center)
- Giving free Arbor Day trees to Webster Groves first graders
- Supporting and building community gardens
- Providing scholarships to college students studying horticulture
