Note: This month’s meeting is on the second Wednesday.
Yard tour at the home of Chan Mahanta in North St. Louis County. Read the write-up about their prairie garden on the NOCO website. Chan will talk about how he got interested in native plants gardening (prairie environment to be precise). He is also a bee-keeper and will discuss native plants and their importance to bees.
Please bring lawn chairs. They will have soft drinks and beer and some snacks.
Directions:
Our place is exactly 1.9 miles north of Hwy 67 on Old Jamestown Road. There is a 35 MPH speed limit sign right on our driveway when you approach us from the east (Hwy 367). I will place some ribbons or a sign. There is a low stone wall and a low gate at the entrance.
Note: Members should not mistake 16700 Old Jamestown Road (two houses to the east). It has a large gate with brick pilasters topped by eagles. Our address is 16770.
Note: There is no street parking on Old Jamestown Road. Please park on the grass along the driveway. Carpooling would be helpful.
