One of the best ways to learn about native plant gardening is to volunteer in a native plant-related activity. In 2020-2021, due to COVID, there have been few Wild Ones St. Louis volunteer opportunities; few tabling events, few grant requests from schools and other non-profits.
The good news is that there are excellent learning opportunities through other area organizations with shared missions. We encourage you to choose one, or more(!) of the organizations on our Community Native Plant Volunteer Opportunities page, under our Dig In! tab. Not only will you learn, and meet like-minded volunteers, you will be supporting the growing regional native plant landscaping community.
