Wild Ones St. Louis and the St. Louis region shine again in the spring issue of the Wild Ones Journal. We invite everyone to access these links, although only Wild Ones members can access the whole issue.
Members, access the journal through the email sent from National on Monday, March 6th OR by logging into the National website and clicking the “Current Wild Ones Journal” link.
The feature article, Combating climate change leads youth to Wild Ones, was written by chapter member and journalist Donna Short. It is about our chapter’s youngest member, Ryan Cutrell.
It prompted this note From the Editor:
Learn and be inspired by what other Wild Ones chapters are doing. The Wild Ones St. Louis (Missouri) Chapter, for instance, helped inspire a teen to care for our Earth. Do you have a story on how your chapter is inspiring youth to plant native? Email us your story at journal@wildones.org.
The second feature article, Rainscaping: A gateway to native plant gardening, was written by Allison Joyce, sustainability coordinator on the rainscaping team at the EarthWays Center of Missouri Botanical Garden. It includes a great ‘testimonial’ by Dan Pearson, chapter member and the Bring Conservation Home program manager with the St. Louis Audubon Society.
