Forest Park Forever is offering a series of walking tours in Forest Park:

  • Free to the Public
  • Hour-long behind-the-scenes tours lead by Forest Park Forever Staff
  • Bring family, friends & leashed pets
  • Please have all members of group ready to begin at time of tour
  • Pace is leisurely, covers up to 1½ miles
  • Reservations not required
  • Dress appropriately for inclement weather (may be cancelled in severe weather)

Friday Tours:

  • April 5, 9:30 am – Missouri Natives Go Formal; World’s Fair Pavilion
  • April 12, 9:30 am – Spring: A Time of Change; Visitor Center
  • April 19, 1:00 pm – Buds and Beyond; World’s Fair Pavilion
  • April 26, 9:30 am – The Birds and The Bees of Deer Lake; Visitor Center
  • May 3, 9:30 am – The Hybrid Landscapes of Art Hill; Corner of Lagoon and Fine Arts
  • May 10, 9:30 am – Missouri Natives Go Formal; World’s Fair Pavilion
  • May 17, 9:30 am – Flowers: Display and Design; Visitor Center
  • Unique view of fountain in Forest ParkMay 24, 1:00 pm – Many trees, but no shade; Kerth Fountain on Gov’t Hill
  • May 31, 9:30 am – History and Habitat of Kennedy Forest; Shelter #11, Kennedy Forest
  • June 7, 9:30 am – Natural and Formal Landscapes in Contrast; World’s Fair Pavilion
  • June 14, 9:30 am – Exploring Our Urban Forest; Visitor Center
  • June 21, 1:00 pm – Summer Blues and Pink and Yellow Hues; World’s Fair Pavilion
  • June 28, 9:30 am – The Hybrid Landscapes of Art Hill; Corner of Lagoon and Fine Arts

Saturday Tours:

  • April 27, 12:00 pm – Destination: Murphy Lake; Steinberg
  • May 11, 10:00 am – Wildflowers of Kennedy Forest; Shelter #11, Kennedy Forest
  • June 1, 11:00 am – Forest Park’s Linear Waterway and Watersheds; Steinberg

Evening Tours:

  • Monday, May 6, 6 pm – The Gems of the Jewel Box Grounds; Jewel Box
  • Thursday, May 23, 8 pm – Forest Park’s Nightscaping; Visitor Center
  • Monday, June 10, 6 pm – Bridges, buds and boardwalks; Steinberg
