2024 Mentorship Program Open, Deadline March 3

by Kate Lovelady, Chapter Board Member and Chair of the Mentoring program

The goals of the Wild Ones St. Louis Chapter mentorship program are to share experience, information, and enthusiasm about growing native plants, and to build community among Wild Ones members. Joining a mentoring circle is a one-year commitment, starting in early spring, and each circle is made up of a mentor and 1-3 mentees who all live or garden relatively close to one another.

Any current St. Louis Chapter member is welcome to apply to be a mentor or a mentee.

Mentors do not have to be gardening experts—any active chapter member who would like to share their knowledge and experience of native plant gardening and to help mentees find additional resources and make connections among the wider membership is welcome to apply.

Mentees can be anyone looking for ideas, information, and camaraderie on the native-gardening journey, whether you’re still dreaming of your first garden or have years of experience yourself.

For more specifics about the program and to apply to participate this year as a mentor or mentee, please visit our Mentoring page.

Questions?  Reach out to Kate through our Contact Us page, choosing her name from the dropdown menu.

The deadline to apply is March 3. Unfortunately we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to accommodate everyone interested in participating, but we’ll do our best!
