Wild Ones St. Louis Chapter, in partnership with Grow Native!, is producing native plant ID tags to help identify plants in your landscape.
Why label your plants? For you, the gardener, it’s a great way to remember what you planted where, when spring rolls around, but more importantly, it furthers the education mission of Wild Ones, to help others get to know our native plants.
We are starting with 49 of the most common native plants and plan to add new species on a regular basis.
Tags are 4” long and 2.5” wide. Each tag includes a full color photo of the plant along with the common and botanical names. They come with a 15” stake.
You may order on our website, through our Store, to have them shipped, or they may be available at our upcoming gatherings.
Tags will be available, for shopping/pickup in person, at several upcoming events:
Shaw Nature Reserve Fall Plant Sale
September 9, 2022
Wildlife Rescue Center (Ballwin) Open House
September 10, 2022
South Grand Fall Fest
September 17, 2022
Wild Ones November Gathering (Brentwood)

Any questions about the plant ID tag project should be directed to Sue Leahy via the Contact Us page. Thank you Sue! for taking the lead on these and getting them from an idea to reality!
