The Wild Wood Subdivision Native Plant Club began with the goals of bringing neighbors together with a shared interest in gardening. The initial meetings focused on introducing native flowers, trees and shrubs; sharing plants and seeds; and participating in citizen science like iNaturalist and larger native plant community groups. Subsequent meetings centered around topics like shade gardening and native grasses.
“The best part of the Seed Pod has been getting to know my neighbors through our love for the birds and butterflies that visit our gardens. It’s been great to see more native plants in my neighborhood,” Krystal Coxon.
