Spring Wildflower Market at Shaw Nature Reserve

While we hope you’ll come to the St. Louis Wild Ones booth at the Spring Wildflower Market at Shaw Nature Reserve on Friday, May 6 (Garden members only) or Saturday, May 7, here are some other options:

Missouri Wildflowers Nursery (MWN) at Kirkwood Farmers’ Market
When: April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: Kirkwood Farmers’ Market, 150 East Argonne (Google Map)
MWN will have a collection of their wonderful Missouri natives.
Pre-Order by Wednesday from their catalog, and they will bring your order to the market on Friday for you to pick up, April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Spring Fling weekends at the Butterfly House
When: Weekends in April – 2/3, 9/10, 16/17, and 23/24  10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House, 15193 Olive Blvd, Chesterfield, MO 63017 (Google map)
More than 30 species of native plants will be available.
Note: The plant sale is only accessible with admission. Your Missouri Botanical Garden membership may include general admission to the Butterfly House.

Olivette in Bloom Plant Sale
When: Saturday April 23, starts at 9:30 a.m. until sold out
Where: Stacy Park Pavilion, Old Bonhomme Rd. just south of Olive (Google map)
Plants supplied by Missouri Wildflowers Nursery.
“Last year, we sold over 500 plants in 1 hour! So be sure to come on time!”

St. Louis Community College Meramec Horticulture Club Plant Sale
Where: 11333 Big Bend Rd, St. Louis, MO 63122 – West Parking Lot K (Google map)
When: April 28 and 29 – 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Annuals, perennials, vegetables, and natives!
Cash or Check. Proceeds allow students to travel to and attend industry events.

U City in Bloom 2016 Annual Plant Sale 
When: Saturday April 30, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; Sunday May 1, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Where: Heman Park Community Center, Olive Blvd. west of Midland Blvd. (Google map)
Many of the plants that will be for sale are perennials (including natives) divided and donated from the yards of local University City residents.  There will be a dedicated table for rain garden plants.

When: Saturday, May 7, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: Whole Foods Market Town & Country (Google map)
“A fabulous selection and quantity of choice native plants provided by Papillon Perennials.” A portion of the proceeds will benefit MPF’s conservation work.

St. Louis Master Gardener Plant Sale
When: Saturday, May 7, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: Greenhouses behind South Technical High School, 12721 West Watson Rd, 63127 (Google map)
This year there will be more than 40 species of natives available as well as a wide variety of annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, and aquatic plants. Most natives were started from seeds collected at the St. Louis Museum of Transportation or purchased from Missouri Wildflowers Nursery. Proceeds benefit the St. Louis Master Gardeners and help fund their contributions to community groups.

Flora Conservancy of Forest Park Plant Sale
When: Saturday, May 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: St. Louis City Greenhouse in Forest Park, 5600 Clayton Ave. (Google map)
Some native plants will be available.

Sierra Club – Shawnee Group Native Plant Sale
When: Saturday, May 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: Town Square Pavillion, Illinois Avenue (near intersection
of US 51 North and Hwy 13 West) Carbondale, IL 62901  (Google map)
“We will have more than a thousand plants of many species – wildflowers, grasses, trees, shrubs, and vines for shade and sun. There will also be plants for rain gardens (moist to wet soil).” Plants will be provided by Missouri Wildflowers Nursery, and pre-orders accepted. See flier.

St Francois Natives
When: Schedule pending. Watch their Facebook page for locations and times.
Where: Look for them at the Ferguson, Kirkwood, and Tower Grove Farmers’ Markets, and the Chesterfield Earth Day Festival, and St. Louis Earth Day.
