On Thursday, August 30th, 2018 there will be another opportunity to view the inspiring video, Hometown Habitat, Stories of Bringing Nature Home!  Many of us were excited to attend a similar viewing event at the Zoo in March.  There is still time to register for this free showing at the St. Charles Community College.

Hometown Habitat has direct connections to Wild Ones. Catherine Zimmerman, the director and financer of this film, is also an Honorary Director of Wild Ones National.  Prior to the screening at the Zoo, she told me that for this film project she, “took a lot of inspiration from Wild Ones, because it is such an effective grass roots model”.   By the way, Doug Tallamy is a Wild Ones lifetime honorary director.  In the film, Tallamy “provides the narrative thread that delivers the message: All of us have the power to support habitat for wildlife and bring natural beauty to our patch of the earth.”

Our chapter will have an information table at the event, be sure to drop by and say hello!
