In April we officially celebrate Earth Day. Hopefully though, like me, you celebrate the natural beauty of our planet Earth frequently. Wild Ones invites you to step up to our table and volunteer at one of these events which will feature our Wild Ones information table.

April Tabling Events:

Saturday, April 7 and Sunday, April 8
Tabling at Meet Me Outdoors in St. Louis 2018 at Missouri Botanical Garden

Saturday, April 14 (currently filled)
Tabling at Resource Expo at Tillman Elementary in Kirkwood

Saturday, April 21
Tabling at Kirkwood’s Living Green Earth Day at the Kirkwood Farmer’s Market

Saturday, April 28
Tabling at Greenscape Gardens in Manchester

Sunday, April 29
Tabling at Arbor Day Celebration in Creve Coeur

Spend a couple of hours with us at one of these April events. Sign up is easy at our website www.stlwildones.org under the Dig In! tab. Education about native plants is our main goal teaching about the many benefits of growing native plants in home gardens and yards. Acquaint people with the concept and benefits of landscaping with native plants from your experience. Familiarize people with Wild Ones using our three-panel display board which explains what our St. Louis Chapter does and why we do it. Answer questions as best as possible and refer people to sources of information available at our table from several different brochures.

Willingness to talk with people is the most needed asset rather than a vast knowledge of natives plants. We all have more to learn and to share. Your volunteer time helps to show commitment to our motto, “Healing the Earth one yard at a time.”
