Wednesday, February 14, 2018
Our first gathering of 2018 attracted 53 members and 17 guests at The Heights community center of Richmond Heights. Vice President James Faupel welcomed all.

Program
Jo Alwood presented her videos, Habitats that Attracts Wildlife.

Jo is a local photographer and videographer and has made more than 100 short movies on the routines and habits of critters in and around our native plant gardens. She shared some of her favorites.

All of Jo’s movies can be seen on her YouTube channel: Jo Alwood.

Her short (1-5 minute) movies are narrated, set to music, and produced to inform and entertain. Dragonflies: Sex and Death won an Award of Recognition in the Best Shorts Competition/2015. Its sequel is Dragonflies: the Most Lethal Predator.
